[ARCHIVED] City Hall Announces Free Holiday Parking Schedule for Downtown

The City of Cumberland announces that free holiday parking will be offered in the downtown for the month of December.

Beginning Friday, December 1, 2017 and extending through Sunday, December 31, 2017, free 2-hour parking will be available on all metered and kiosk spaces in the downtown between Queen City Drive and Mechanic Street and extending from Wendy’s to the Centre Street viaduct.  The time zones in this same area will be doubled up to 2 hours, meaning that a 30-minute time zone will be enforced every 60 minutes and a 20 minute zone will be enforced every 40 minutes.

Additionally, free 2-hour parking will be available at the George Street Garage on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors in the white and green spaces only.

“The Mayor and City Council are pleased to be able to provide this support to our local merchants during the holiday season and do encourage everyone to shop local,” stated City Administrator Jeff Rhodes.
