For Immediate Release
The City of Cumberland and the Downtown Development Commission announce that grants are available for the Community Legacy Façade Improvement Program. These funds have been made available through a grant from the State of Maryland’s Community Legacy program. Grants are limited and will be targeted to commercial income producing properties within the Central Business District. These grants will be available for use on approved exterior façade projects on structures within the district and will require a dollar for dollar match from the owner of the property. Interested property owners must submit an application no later than noon on Friday, April 28, 2017. A selection committee will review projects from among those submitted to participate in the program. It is possible that not all applications will be funded.
Applications for the program will be available online on Monday, March 13th at the City of Cumberland’s website at www.ci.cumberland.md.us or by request to Kathy McKenney, Community Development Programs Manager, contact information below.
