Notice to Applicants: Police Officer
The Cumberland Police Department will conduct pre-employment testing for the position of Police Officer on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Allegany College of Maryland in Room S68, Science Building, Cumberland, Maryland. Candidates interested in participating in the testing process must submit an employment application along with a $20.00 registration fee to the Human Resources Department located at City Hall, 57 N Liberty Street, Cumberland, Maryland. The deadline for submitting applications will be 3 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2015. Applications along with detailed information about the pre-employment testing procedures are available at City Hall or can be located on the city’s website. Applications cannot be submitted electronically.
Minimum requirements for the position are that the individual must be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent of such, vision must be 20/40 or corrected to 20/20, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Patrolman Salary: $35,941 - $43,812.
