[ARCHIVED] McMullen Bridge to be closed 15 minutes mid-morning on Tuesday, September 20th

The City of Cumberland Engineering Department on behalf of the contractor Bruce & Merriees Electric Co., Abingdon, Maryland would like to notify the public of a traffic blockage on the Bedford Street and Frederick Street sides of the John J. McMullen Bridge. Travelers who use Bedford and Frederick Streets over the bridge should expect delays on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The Bedford Street side of the Bridge will be completely closed for approximately 15 minutes on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 while the overhead sign over Bedford Street is removed. The overhead sign facing the Frederick Street side of the bridge will be removed on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 and the road will have to be closed to traffic for about 15 minutes while the sign is being removed. The total blockage of traffic will take place around mid morning, and is expected to take about 15 minutes.
