City Property Surplus Sale
The City of Cumberland is making City-owned real estate available for purchase through a Sealed Bid Sale Process. The application process for this program evaluates the vision and plan for a property in combination with an offer price. The goal of the program is to return properties to the private sector for their highest and best use.
Interested bidders must obtain a bid packet in one of the following ways:
1. Pick up from the Department of Community Development, 57 N. Liberty Street, Cumberland, MD, 21502; Phone 301-759-6442;

Submission/Review of Bids
Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council will be received at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Cumberland, MD 21502, on an ongoing basis. Proposals will be opened and read bi-weekly, or on an as-needed schedule determined by the Mayor and City Council. All proposals must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside thereof: "Request for Bids - Surplus Properties".
